Product description
This decorative object is a Sculpture crafted from a wild boar's tusk, mounted on a brass base. The piece is characterized by the detailed, carved illustration of an elephant family in a savanna landscape, a technique reminiscent of traditional scrimshaw work.
The artwork is made from authentic, natural materials. The tusk has an organic, curved shape and an ivory-colored hue, which contrasts with the dark brown lines of the engraving. The small, round base is made of brass and provides a stable foundation for the object. The total length of the object is approximately 18 centimeters, as visible in the images.
The overall condition of the object is good, with a character that matches its age and the nature of the materials. The tusk shows the natural texture and color variations inherent to the material, while the brass base has developed a lived-in patina that contributes to its authentic appearance.
Due to its modest size and unique theme, this Sculpture is an interesting accent for a desk, bookshelf, or display cabinet. It fits well within a classic, eclectic, or colonial-inspired interior, where it tells a story of nature and craftsmanship.
