About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
This is a characteristic Table lamp, made from an authentic Chinese jar as a base. The design combines a rustic, earthy element with a contemporary lampshade, resulting in a unique lighting object. The base of the lamp is made of ceramic with a weathered, grey patina and an incised wave pattern around the shoulder. This is combined with a large, conical lampshade covered with a mottled textile fabric in shades of grey and white. The shade spreads a warm and diffuse light, ideal for ambient lighting. The overall condition of the lamp is good, with a patina on the base that contributes to the object's lived-in character. The lampshade is structurally intact and shows a consistent texture. This jar lamp is a striking piece that fits well in an interior with a rustic, eclectic, or Asian-inspired style. It functions excellently as accent lighting on a sideboard, side table, or in a reading nook.
