Vase Mine, from a unique glassware series by artist Ulrica Hydman Vallien as part of the Kosta Boda glass collection.
The mine is one of Kosta Boda's most popular series consisting of bowls, vases, plates and glasses. Colors magically float in the thick glass like a curtain of smoke, making each piece unique. Each item has Ulrica Hydman Vallien's signature stamp on the base.
About The Artist:
She was the embodiment of Swedish glass art. No living Swedish artist could have claimed the popularity of Ulrica Hydman Vallien. Whether it be a collection or unique pieces, she put the same passion into every work of her hands. Using motifs from the innermost corners of human life, she has created a narrative glass art form with feminist and biblical accents, in addition to her utility glass. Tulips and snakes appear repeatedly in her own Paradise works. Assertive, controversial, beloved.
