Bertil Vallien (1938)
Bertil Vallien is by far the most internationally celebrated glass artist and designer in Sweden. Bertil has received numerous awards and his work is represented in leading museums around the world. Bertil Vallien works in a mythical, dreamlike world of symbolic images.
The glass head Karolina comes from the Kosta Boda Brains series, which was designed in 1998 by glass artist Bertil Vallien.
