Swedish mid-century pendant lamp made of copper, designed by Carl Thore for Granhaga Metallindustri, circa 1960s.
The lamp is constructed from multiple turned metal bowls that provide soft, indirect light and a powerful, sculptural silhouette.
Carl Thore, the design name of Sigurd Lindkvist (born 1917), designed numerous iconic lamps for Granhaga Metallindustri. From 1961 onwards, he worked there as both a designer and head of sales.
The lamp is in very nice vintage condition. It has a few minor blemishes commensurate with its age, but is otherwise in excellent condition. The wiring has recently been replaced.
