Fine Japanese Art Deco bronze peacock Okimono (figurine) by Kome Jiichi. Signed on the product.
Kome Jiichi (1896-1985) was born in Takaoka city in Toyama prefecture, Japan, the most well known town for traditional copper craftsmanship.
The artist was especially skillful at making people and animal figurines. This bronze peacock comes with attractive green patination.
