About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
This pair of table lamps is attributed to the influential Austrian designer Koloman Moser, a key figure of the Wiener Werkstätte. The lamps embody the principles of Art Nouveau, combining functional form with geometric ornamentation. Their design is a testament to the aesthetic revolution of early 20th-century Vienna.
Each lamp consists of a brass frame with a characteristic openwork base that combines geometric and curved lines. A spherical shade made of white opal glass provides a soft, diffused light, creating a warm atmosphere. The wiring is fabric-covered, which emphasizes the historical character of the pieces and indicates their origin from that period.
The overall condition of the lamps is good and corresponds to their age and history. The brass has developed an authentic patina over time, contributing to their unique character and visual depth. These traces of time confirm their authenticity and tell the story of their long life.
As a pair, these lamps are excellent as bedside lamps, on a living room sideboard, or as elegant accent lighting on a desk. They seamlessly integrate into classic, Art Nouveau, or Art Deco interiors, adding a touch of historical elegance and design history to any room.
