Product description
The work of Ko Aarts (1961) is not limited to one subject or style. Silent buildings and geometric factories alternate with organic mountain landscapes or the roar of soaring aircraft. He paints buildings, very everyday, that can turn into an abstract pattern at any moment. Rows of uniform windows, bright stripes, green surfaces. Things in our society, he says, can just as easily turn into their opposites. We live in a dynamic reality, the everyday is complex enough. During his stay in Brazil, more and more living elements appeared in his work, such as plants, animals and people. The artist strives to find a balance between severity and irony in his work. An overview of the work shows recurring elements. The most striking are the buildings, which sometimes figure independently, sometimes in groups and express a certain atmosphere. In addition, aircraft have been used in different settings for many years.
The work is signed by the artist and is a great starting point to create your own wall mosaic. Mix vintage artworks with posters, photos and contemporary artists. This way you can easily put together your own inspiration wall in your living room or office. In addition to current artists, our extensive collection also includes many historical graphics where you can put together a great wall mosaic in no time. Find used frames at a thrift store, decide on a centerpiece and look for a playful composition of colored next to black and white and historic, vintage and modern. Easy to expand or exchange.
