Knubbling Table Lamp by Anders Pehrson for Ateljé Lyktan, Sweden (1970s)
Anders Pehrson (1912–1982) was a leading figure in Scandinavian lighting design. As creative director of Ateljé Lyktan from 1964, he helped establish the company’s international reputation for combining functionalism with expressive, sculptural forms.
The iconic Knubbling table lamp is one of Pehrson’s celebrated designs from the 1970s. This example features a red lacquered metal base paired with a white acrylic shade, the bold contrast giving the lamp its distinctive character. Its clean, sculptural silhouette and carefully balanced proportions make it a standout object on a desk or side table.
This lamp is in very good condition, with only minor scratches consistent with age. A rare and highly collectible piece, perfect for lovers of mid-century modern and Nordic lighting design.
