About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
An extensive collection of Dutch Children's Stamps is offered, spanning a period of almost four decades, from 1986 up to and including 2024. This collection represents an important piece of Dutch cultural heritage and philatelic history. The annual issuance of Children's Stamps is a tradition where the proceeds benefit projects for children, giving each stamp a social value.
The collection consists of mint, unused paper stamps, largely presented in the form of two sheets per year, as indicated. Each series is designed by renowned Dutch artists and graphic designers, making the collection a visual timeline of the evolution in Dutch design and illustration. The themes vary annually, reflecting the world of children and the social context of that time.
The stamps are in excellent, unused condition and are on their original sheets. They have been carefully preserved, so the colors are vibrant and the gum is intact. The overall condition testifies to careful handling of this delicate material over the years. Unfortunately, I could not upload all photos.
This collection is of particular value to philatelists, lovers of Dutch graphic design, or as a nostalgic overview of almost forty years of history. The sheets can be framed as decorative art or kept as a complete archive that tells a unique story about Dutch culture.
