About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
This is a Loveseat designed by Kho Liang Ie for Artifort, a true icon of Dutch design. The piece stands out for its sleek, minimalist silhouette and the low, comfortable seating characteristic of his designs from that period.
The sofa was upholstered a few years ago with a wool, mottled grey fabric that provides a rich texture and a timeless look. The frame rests on a characteristic metal sled base, giving the furniture an almost floating appearance. This design is a beautiful example of the functionalist approach for which Kho Liang Ie and Artifort were known in the 1960s.
The sofa is in very good vintage condition and retains its original character and sturdy construction. Its compact form and understated elegance make it a perfect fit for various interiors, from a modern apartment to a space with Mid-Century decor.
