Special floor lamp / model K46 / Kho Liang Ie / Artifort / 1957 My mother purchased this in 1958/59 and has always been present in her interior. A beautiful and rare modernist floor lamp with a Japanese look. The minimalist designed lamp consists of a fluorescent fixture surrounded by a fiberglass cylinder held in place by three black lacquered metal square tubes. The semi-transparent fleece provides a nice warm diffused light. The hand-built floor lamp K46 was designed by Kho Liang Ie for Artifort in 1957. Condition: a vintage condition. The black shows traces of time, metal frame is very clean. 1 leg is slightly inward. The semi transparent fleece is slightly discolored over the years. giving a warmer look. Dimensions: wide 31 cm, deep 31 cm, height 160,5 cm Magnificent and iconic modernist floor lamp model K46 designed by Kho Liang Ie and manufactured by Artiforte in 1957. This very hard to find lamp has a very nice Japanese minimalistic look, 3 square black lacquered solid metal bars holding a rice paper shade in the middle for very nice warm diffused light. This lamp has a fluorescent lamp for warm light when lit. This lamp was made in a very low production process, all lamps are hand built. This lamp has square massive feet and it's still in very good original vintage condition with very nice patina from age. The original shade is still in very good and clean condition. The color of the light can be changed changing the fluorescent bulb on the inside.
