Unique Bedouin carpet made of 100% Egyptian wool
The Bedouin carpet is 100% made of sheep's wool and is handmade by artisan Egyptians. The unique carpet goes by the name Bedouin, which literally translates as 'desert dweller' in Arabic. This refers to the nomadic peoples of the Sahara, Sinai and the Arabian deserts. Kelima carpets come straight from the Western Egyptian desert and have been specially selected to introduce the rich history of Egyptian culture to the Western world. Bring the beauty of Egypt into your home!
Hand-woven Kilim rug
The Kilim rug consists of several exotic colors and gives warmth and texture to the room. The Kilim carpet is 100% made of sheep's wool and is extremely sturdy. The rug will provide years of pleasure and warmth in your home. The carpet is fairly narrow (60 cm wide), which makes it perfect for the hall or landing. Moreover, motifs are not just woven into the rug, the patterns have a special meaning; these represent protection, luck and fertility.
Please note: this product is made by hand. This makes each rug unique and always slightly different from the rest.
Kelima Authentic Beauty collection 2022
The Kilim Bedouin rug is part of a larger collection 'Authentic Beauty'. This collection consists of several carpets that are made with great care and precision by the best craftsmen in Egypt. All designs and colors are derived from Egyptian culture: from the desert and the ancient pyramids. The rugs not only look beautiful in your home, with your purchase you support this age-old craft tradition.

Extend the lifespan of carpet
The Bedouin rug will provide beauty in your home for years to come. To keep the carpet beautiful for as long as possible, we recommend purchasing a carpet underlay. This ensures that the rug always stays in place. So don't worry about slipping in the hall, living room or office. In addition, it provides extra sound insulation and the carpet will wear out less quickly. The rug can be used on both sides. Turn the carpet every six months to extend its lifespan.
Cleaning a 100% Egyptian wool rug
Kelima carpets are all hand-woven and are therefore naturally resistant to dirt. However, it is important to clean the rug regularly to maintain its beautiful appearance. Regularly use the vacuum cleaner or gently shake the carpet back and forth so that the dirt falls out. Is there a stain on the Kilim rug? You can remove this by gently dabbing with a damp cloth. For thorough cleaning, take the rug to the dry cleaner.
Cleaning Tips:
1- Wash the rug by hand in cold water to preserve the beautiful colors.
2- Do not put the rug in the dryer, but hang it up to dry.
3- Never use bleach or stain remover.
4-Remove stains as quickly as possible with a cloth and possibly soapy water.
5- For the best cleaning, we recommend taking the rug to the dry cleaner.
