Sustainable and environmentally conscious By complementing your interior with vintage items, you are being environmentally conscious. No new raw materials need to be used for this product. If you choose vintage, you use what is already there, which makes it sustainable. You might not be giving these objects a second life, but even a third or fourth. Vintage products are of high quality and last for several lifetimes for a reason. Behind every vintage product is a story. The often minimal signs of use offer a glimpse into the life of the previous owner. The extent to which these signs of use are present is stated in the description. Photos are part of this description. Please examine them carefully. Vintage (i.e., used) items sometimes show color variations, uneven wear, and/or normal wear. Please take this into account when making your purchase. This is a ceramic handled vase, designed by Gerardus Klinkenberg for the Katwijksche Aardewerkfabriek in the 1940s. The piece is a representative example of Dutch pottery from the mid-twentieth century, characterized by the artisanal drip glaze technique. The vase is made of ceramic and has a spherical body that transitions into a narrow neck with two handles. The color palette consists of earthy tones, with a gradient from dark beige to a lighter cream at the base, accentuated by the texture of the drip glaze. This technique, popular during that period, gives each piece a unique pattern and depth. The overall condition of the vase is good, consistent with its age. The glaze has retained its luster and the colors are still vibrant, testifying to the quality of the original craftsmanship. The authentic patina contributes to the historical character of the object. This handled vase is a subtle decorative element that fits into both classic and modern interiors with a fondness for vintage design. It can serve as a standalone object or be used to present a small bouquet. When shipped, the item will be carefully packed to prevent damage.
