Product description
This is the Pilastro side table, a design by the influential Italian designer Ettore Sottsass for the Kartell brand. The piece stands out for its sculptural silhouette, which is a playful nod to classical architecture and at the same time a characteristic example of postmodern design.
Manufactured in Italy, this multifunctional piece of furniture is made of durable, glossy plastic (Material: Mass-Coloured Thermoplastic Technopolymer) in a soft lilac color. The design is part of the "Kartell goes Sottsass - A Tribute to Memphis" collection, launched in 2015 and honoring Sottsass's designs from 2004. The production stamp on the underside confirms its authenticity and production year (2004). Weight: 3.53kg.
The side table has some signs of use, scratches. See photos. Due to its compact and versatile nature, the Pilastro can serve as a side table next to a sofa, as a bedside table in the bedroom, or as a standalone decorative object. It adds a colorful and artistic accent.
