Louis Ghost: a distinct design by designer Philippe Starck (1949) for Kartell. The chair is designed in the classic Louis XV style, but its simplistic lines and transparency give it a modern, eye-catching appearance. Louis Ghost has its own character and provides elegance in every room with an ironic wink. An overwhelming choice of special shapes characterizes the classic designs in the Barok style. It is this baroque essence that Starck has innovatively integrated into the design of the Louis Ghost. Because the armchair is made of polycarbonate and has been developed from a single injection mould, it is, despite its transparent and crystal-like appearance, extremely solid and designed to withstand atmospheric influences.
