Karl Sørlie was a Norwegian entrepreneur and craftsman. In 1913, he founded the furniture manufacturer Karl Sørlie & Sønner. The company gained international renown for its high-quality furniture in the Scandinavian Mid-Century Modern style.
The "Saga" modular system, characterized by its flexibly interchangeable elements, is among its most famous designs. The coffee table offered here from this series features a loose top, allowing it to also be used as a tray.
