Karl Dittert for Martin Stoll / Giroflex office chair, probably from the late 1960s/early 1970s. This early version features the characteristic smaller plastic casters typical of the first productions and originally intended for use on carpet. The design combines a molded wooden shell with black leather upholstery and an aluminum star base. The chair is swivel- and height-adjustable, making the design not only aesthetically pleasing but also functionally robust. The wooden shell is in very well-preserved vintage condition and displays a beautiful wood grain. The leather has minor signs of wear and a beautiful patina, commensurate with the chair's age. A clear example of the ergonomic and thoughtful approach for which Giroflex became known, realized in an early and refined version.
