Karin Sommen graduated from the Utrecht School of the Arts in 1994 and in 2017 completed the higher degree of painting at the art academy in Hoogstraten (B) as a laureate. As a visual artist, Karin makes work that, just like herself, is constantly in motion: searching, on a journey, on the road. In recent years, this has resulted in various paintings and series of paintings.
Since 2015, Karin has regularly exhibited at home and abroad, such as in the Stedelijk Museum of Hoogstraten, Belgium (2017), the MAF gallery in Meerle, Belgium (2018) and various public buildings in the Netherlands (2015 - 2022).
