Product description
This pair of Kalmar wall sconces from the 1970s exemplifies the bold, sculptural lighting design of the era. The fixtures feature thick, textured glass elements that create a striking visual presence, characteristic of Kalmar's renowned craftsmanship in mid-century lighting. Constructed with heavy, textured glass panels in warm amber and clear tones, the sconces are mounted on metal backplates. The glass is shaped with undulating, organic forms that diffuse light beautifully, creating a warm and inviting glow. The combination of materials and the distinctive 1970s design language make these pieces highly representative of the period's aesthetic. The sconces are in good condition, showing wear consistent with age and use. The glass elements remain structurally sound, preserving the original character and functionality of the fixtures. These Kalmar sconces are well-suited for a variety of interior styles, from Mid-Century Modern to Hollywood Regency. They provide excellent ambient lighting for hallways, living spaces, or dining areas, adding a touch of vintage sophistication to the environment.
