Product description
This Kalmar chandelier from the 1970s is a striking example of mid-century modern lighting design. The piece is defined by its textured, ice-like glass elements that create a captivating interplay of light and shadow, characteristic of the era's bold aesthetic.
Constructed with a central metal frame, the chandelier supports multiple tiers of thick, cast glass panels. The glass features a deeply textured surface, designed to refract light dynamically, producing a warm and inviting glow. The fixture is suspended by a classic chain, allowing for adjustable height to suit various spatial requirements. The combination of the robust glass and the metallic structure highlights the meticulous craftsmanship associated with Kalmar's production during this period.
The chandelier remains in great condition, preserving its original character and structural integrity. The glass panels are intact, and the metal components display a natural patina consistent with age, adding to the authenticity of this vintage piece.
Ideal for a dining room, entryway, or living space, this chandelier complements both mid-century modern and contemporary interiors. Its sculptural presence serves as a focal point, seamlessly integrating with diverse design schemes while providing substantial illumination.
