Selling a very rare, large Danish coffee table from the 1960s. (The table was only produced in small series.) Dimensions: approx. 170 cm long, 62 cm wide, 50 cm high. Based on its construction, proportions, material, workmanship, and the existing production/control stamps, it is highly likely to be a design by Kai Kristiansen for Feldballes Møbelfabrik. This table is traded for much more due to its rarity and uniqueness. The table is veneered with rosewood, presumably Brazilian rosewood, and has an exceptionally lively and high-contrast grain. Since the early 90s, an agreement exists that rosewood (veneered) may no longer be traded (CITES relevance). The potential for value appreciation of this table is therefore undeniable! Particularly beautiful is the very flat, elegant construction with slender legs and a slightly floating tabletop. The table is used and shows age-related traces. There is an older plant/water ring on the top, see photos. Overall, however, a very beautiful and rare piece with a strong presence. Underneath the top are old production/control stamps that match the dating and Danish manufacturing of the period.
