An elegant and exceptional mid-century table by Baly, produced for the Swiss company Wohnhilfe. This distinctive round table features a sculptural tripod base and a sophisticated mechanical height adjustment mechanism. The central rack and pinion system allows the table height to be adjusted in seven increments from approximately 40 to 68 cm.
This makes the table exceptionally versatile and practical: depending on your needs, it can be used as a low coffee table or adjusted to a comfortable height for dining and tea. It's no wonder this model is also known as a "dining and tea table."
The generously sized round tabletop, the warm wood grain, and the elegantly curved legs give the table a distinctly sculptural and timeless appeal. A rare and functional design object that combines the organic forms of mid-century design with exceptionally clever mechanics.
