Product description
A linocut by the British artist Julia Wilson, titled 'Reflection...'. This work is a limited edition, hand-numbered and signed by the artist. For lovers of modern graphics, vintage art or specifically British art.
Dating: unknown, presumably 90s
The linocut - traditional relief print - depicts the reflection of an (Amsterdam?) canal. Reality is distorted and takes on almost abstract forms. The work is number 23 of an edition of 41. It is presented in a black MDF frame with a striking red passe-partout.
The artwork and passe-partout are in beautiful condition, the frame and glass are in good condition with signs of age appropriate to the item's age.
It is professionally framed and equipped with a hanging system
Julia Wilson about her work: “The paintings are a reaction to my surroundings, a spontaneous re-working of memory and history, things seen, past and present. The starting point may be an outlook from my studio window, an interior space, or a familiar estuary landscape. The works are not abstract, in the formal sense, but are drawn from a visual experience.”
