Beautiful Set of Mid-Century Bowls – Josef Hospodka For Chřibská (1960s)
Bring authentic Mid-Century elegance into your interior with this stunning set of two hand-blown art glass bowls (designed as ashtrays or decorative bowls).
These iconic organic, flower-shaped objects were designed in the 1960s by the renowned Czechoslovakian designer Josef Hospodka for the Chřibská glass factory. This is a unique, perfectly matching duo in two different color schemes. The solid, heavy glass catches the light beautifully and forms a real eye-catcher on a sideboard, coffee table, or in a display cabinet.
Bowl 1 (Classic): Beautiful, flowing transition from deep violet/pink to a warm amber-colored center. Weight: 660 grams.
Bowl 2 (Warm & Neutral): Executed entirely in an atmospheric, warm amber color. Weight: 633 grams. Specifications (both bowls): Designer: Josef Hospodka Manufacturer: Chřibská Glassworks (Bohemia / Czechoslovakia) Period: 1960s (Mid-Century Modern) Height: 6 cm Diameter: 15 cm Condition: In very good vintage condition. No major damage, minimal and normal signs of age (such as slight scuff marks on the underside of the base, consistent with age). The bowls are preferably sold as a set.
