Product description
High round bar table Toledo designed by Jorge Pensi and made in Spain by Amat-3 for Knoll. A stainless steel round top with an etched pattern (circles) on an aluminum hollow tube frame with cast aluminum legs at the aluminum end. A timeless design object. This earlier version with circles is seen less often and is much rarer. Jorge Pensi, considered one of Spain's most prominent designers, studied architecture in his hometown of Buenos Aires before moving to Barcelona in 1977 to establish his design practice Grupo Berenguer with Albert Lievore. While the studio focused on new designs for lighting and furniture, Pensi eventually became known for his fluid, elegant designs. During this period, in 1988, he designed the Toledo chair and table for the Spanish furniture manufacturer Amat-3. Both designs were later acquired by Knoll. The Toledo chair, which won multiple awards, including a first place at the SIDI Selection, embodies Pensi's design aesthetic with its timeless quality and ability to easily fit into a wide range of environments. Condition: Scratches on the stainless steel top, aluminum tube, and base, which are unfortunately unavoidable with these materials. A few small dents on the top edge, and two on the side of the edge.
