Product description
This striking armchair was designed by John De Haard for Gebr. Jonkers.
The design is characterized by a robust wooden frame combined with a suspended seat, creating a distinctive architectural silhouette.
The chair is included in the TU Delft Chair Collection and is a collectible.
This rare armchair is crafted from solid wood and features a sturdy brown canvas seat and backrest. An original bolt has been replaced. The construction, with visible joints and tension straps, emphasizes the artisanal character of the furniture.
The design exudes a safari atmosphere. The wood tones contrast subtly with the deep brown fabric. The furniture is in good vintage condition with an authentic patina befitting its age.
The materials show characteristic signs of use that contribute to the weathered appearance. This design fits perfectly in an eclectic or industrial interior. It is a distinct statement piece that comes into its own in a reading nook or as a freestanding eye-catcher in the living room.
