This striking armchair was designed by John De Haard for Gebr. Jonkers.
The design is characterized by a robust wooden frame combined with a suspended seat, creating a distinct architectural silhouette.
The chair is included in the chair collection of the TU in Delft.
This rare armchair is crafted from solid wood and features a sturdy brown canvas seat and backrest. An original bolt has been replaced. The construction, with visible connections and tension straps, emphasizes the artisanal character of the furniture.
