Product description
This is a set of two original studies by the artist JhanPaulussen. The works stand out for their composition and use of color, strongly reminiscent of designs for stained-glass windows, a medium for which the artist may have been known. The two artworks are executed in a mixed technique on paper, probably with gouache or watercolor and thick, black ink lines. The compositions are both figurative and abstract, with a palette of primary and secondary colors such as red, yellow, blue, and green, combined with earth tones. Both works are signed by the artist, and one of the pieces bears the title 'Ascetisme'. Pencil sketches and notes are visible on the back and in the margins, providing insight into the creative process. The works are in good, original condition, consistent with their age. The paper has developed a natural patina, which contributes to the authentic character of the studies. The presence of the artist's sketches and notes enhances the uniqueness and historical value of the pieces. These unique studies are a special addition to a collection of modern Art or Dutch Design. Framed, they will look beautiful in a living room, study, or hallway, where they add an artistic and colorful accent to both classic and contemporary interiors.
