Product description
These are the iconic 'Electro' (or 'Electric') glass table lamps, designed by the Danish designer Jørgen Mortensen for the Portuguese glass company JM Glass. These striking design classics from the 90s are entirely handcrafted from heavy, high-quality (lead-free) crystal glass. The minimalist and futuristic design consists of a clever interplay of geometric shapes: a diagonally cut glass cylinder that passes through a wide, saucer-shaped glass ring. The combination of frosted glass at the base and clear glass at the top provides a beautifully diffused light. Because they were handmade at the time and the producer JM Glass was only active between 1993 and 2005, these lamps are now sought-after vintage design objects.
