Product description
This is the wrought-iron sculpture 'Tree V' by the artist Jean-Luc Bertel, a work that explores the boundary between figuration and abstraction. The design is inspired by the shape of a pollarded willow and serves as a tribute to the monumental wrought-iron sculptures of Eduardo Chillida.
The object is crafted from solid wrought iron and bears witness to an artisanal process centered on hammer, fire, and anvil. The sculpture is finished with a coating resulting in a black-brown color with a subtle sheen, accentuating the authentic hammer marks in the metal. It is a unique, signed work from the 'Trees' series (2026).
The condition of the work is excellent, with the robust materiality and original finish remaining completely intact. The visible traces of the forging process contribute to the authentic character of the object. This sculpture comes into its own particularly well in a minimalist or industrial interior, where the powerful form language and dark metallic tones create a strong visual anchor point.
