Product description
This is 'Tree I', a surrealist wrought-iron sculpture by artist Jean-Luc Bertel. The work is part of his new 'Trees' series from 2026 and presents an abstract interpretation of a tree, with a clear nod to the monumental wrought-iron sculptures of Eduardo Chillida.
The sculpture is crafted from solid wrought iron, with the artist modeling the material between hammer, fire, and anvil. The object features a coating that creates a deep black-brown color and a subtle sheen, beautifully accentuating the authentic hammer marks. This is a unique and signed piece.
The work is in excellent condition and displays the robust, layered texture characteristic of the forging process. The finish emphasizes the sculpture's artisanal character.
This minimalist sculpture looks excellent in a modern or industrial interior. The object forms a powerful visual anchor point on a console, sideboard, or pedestal, where it invites contemplation.
