Product description
This U-453 sideboard was produced by Interier Praha in Czechoslovakia in the 1960s and is attributed to designer Jiri Jiroutek, whose work for the manufacturer is closely associated with this striking black and white drawer front treatment. The oak veneer case sits on slim tapered legs, with ten drawers alternating glossy black and white lacquered fronts for a graphic, geometric look typical of the period. It suits a living room or dining room as a sideboard, or a bedroom as a wide chest of drawers.
Condition and Character
**Original condition with small signs of use.**
The lacquered drawer fronts show light surface scratches consistent with age and handling, visible mainly on the black panels. The oak case and top retain a warm, even patina. All ten drawers are present and functional. Please review the detailed photos closely to inspect the exact cosmetic condition before purchasing.
