The city is still asleep when we sink into a surprisingly deep cellar hole. From 1531 to 1997, the Antwerp Stock Exchange, "the mother of all stock exchanges", was located here. We watch the morning sun awaken the building. The rising light reveals this lost pearl so divine that we forget to take out the camera.
Traveling and photographing with a fascination for abandoned architecture and faded glory, Jef Peeters seeks and explores lost and forgotten places to be rediscovered. He captures the soul and forgotten stories and turns them into narrative images.
