An elegant coffee table by artists Jean Cloutier (1930-2015) and Robert Cloutier (1930-2008), created around 1960.
It features a black patinated wrought iron frame with a quadrangular base, joined by an openwork tubular stretcher, supporting a remarkable top composed of glazed lava tiles. The abstract geometric design, in shades of orange-red, black, and gray, is emblematic of the Cloutier brothers' work.
The tabletop is monogrammed in the lower right corner, in accordance with the sale description and the productions of the Cloutier workshop.
At the boundary between furniture and artwork, this table perfectly illustrates the revival of French decorative arts in the 1960s. Its graphic design, its treatment of materials, and its quality of execution make it a sought-after piece for lovers of modernist design and art ceramics.

Excellent condition.
The wrought iron frame is perfectly stable and has a beautiful original patina. The enameled lava top is in excellent condition, with very slight signs of wear consistent with its age, and no visible chips or repairs.
