Color print by Jean Lurçat (1892–1966) depicting a large stylized rooster inscribed in an ocher-orange disc, surrounded by foliage. The composition concentrates several characteristic elements of Lurçat's graphic universe: strongly cut vegetal forms, powerful black contrasts, and a warm palette dominated by earth tones and oranges. This color linocut uses the motif from the poster for the Galerie d’Art du Casino de Saint-Céré, where Jean Lurçat's tapestries, lithographs, and ceramics were permanently exhibited. The work can be dated to around 1960–1962. Stylized signature of Jean Lurçat printed in the plate. The work recently benefited from custom framing. Matte black frame and acrylic glass protection.
