Elegant vintage table lamp by French designer Jean-Claude Mahey, dating from the 1970s. A striking example of Mahey’s luxurious design language, combining a clean architectural form with an ivory/cream lacquered body and a layered metallic base with brass and chrome-toned finishes. The large sculptural fabric shade creates a beautiful contrast with the geometric base and gives the lamp a warm, sophisticated presence when illuminated. The lamp is clearly marked, featuring a Jean-Claude Mahey signature plaque on the front as well as the original MAHEY label underneath, both shown in the photographs.
