About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
This is a monumental ceramic floor vase, manufactured by the West German manufacturer Jasba. The piece is a characteristic example of mid-twentieth-century ceramics, recognizable by its imposing size and expressive glaze.
The vase, model number 350-40, is designed in a classic amphora shape with two elegantly curled handles and a stable base. The surface is covered with a vibrant 'fat lava' glaze, where a deep red color flows over a dark brown and black base, resulting in a rich and textured effect. The inside and the handles are finished with a deep, glossy dark brown glaze that forms a beautiful contrast with the colorful central part. The bottom is marked with 'W. Germany' and the model number.
With a height of 40 centimeters, this is a substantial object that makes a powerful statement. The overall condition is excellent, retaining its original colors and shine, which testifies to careful preservation over the years.
This Jasba vase is a striking decorative element that fits perfectly into a Mid-Century Modern, eclectic, or vintage interior. It can be placed as a solitary object on the floor or on a sideboard, where it is an artistic addition to the space, with or without flower arrangements. The weight of the vase is +/- 6 kg.
