About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
This set consists of two Järpen lounge chairs and a matching coffee table, complete with the original glass top. The set was designed by Niels Gammelgaard for IKEA in the 1980s.
The design is characterized by a minimalist wire frame that creates an airy and spacious look, typical of the postmodern aesthetic of that decade.
The chairs and table are made of black coated metal, with the table featuring a glass top resting on the wire steel base. The construction is robust and showcases the industrial production techniques Gammelgaard frequently employed in his designs for IKEA. The black color scheme emphasizes the graphic lines of the furniture.
The set is in good condition commensurate with its age and use. The original finish has been preserved, contributing to the authentic character of these vintage pieces.
