Product description
Unique Japanese bronze candlestick from the Meiji period (19th century), featuring a detailed crane figure standing on the back of a turtle. The crane holds a lotus plant in its beak, which also serves as the candle holder. This piece is 31 cm tall and symbolizes 'a long life' and 'marital happiness'. The crane represents 1,000 years, the turtle 10,000 years. A crane chooses a partner for life, and a turtle is known for its friendship, making this combination very auspicious.
