János Bittenbinder (Transylvania, 1946) is fascinated by skies, clouds, and heavens, in all sorts of moving forms and colors. He plays with light masterfully. This is also evident in this (untitled) pastel from 1989. The base is blue, in various intense and menacing shades, but the gaze is drawn to the center of the work, to a lighter hole, surrounded by yellow, orange, and dark blue peaks. Time and again, a feast for the eyes. Pastel dimensions 49 cm (w) x 63 cm (h), with frame 81 cm x 101 cm. Fitted with a beautiful silver-glossy polished aluminum frame. Signed by the artist.
