Description

The etching is executed in a loose yet highly detailed linework characteristic of Poortenaar's graphic work. His etchings often depict Dutch city and village views where architecture and landscape merge.
Below the image is the designation “Mei nr 69 – VI”, possibly referring to a series or catalogue number. The etching is signed in pencil by the artist in the lower right corner.
