Description
Detailed etching by the Dutch graphic artist Jan Poortenaar depicting a city view in which a monumental city hall takes center stage. The building is rendered with rich architectural details and a tower section, while figures and carts can be seen on the square, bringing the scene to life.
The etching is executed in a lively line drawing characteristic of Poortenaar's graphic work. He was known for his city and landscape views in which architecture and daily life converge.
