This vintage modular sofa is a design by the renowned Dutch designer Jan des Bouvrie. The piece of furniture is characterized by its robust, rounded shapes and the warm, inviting appearance typical of his early work.
The sofa is upholstered in a soft, copper-colored velour fabric that adds rich texture and depth to the design. The modular construction, consisting of 4 seat elements with armrests and a matching ottoman, offers flexibility in arrangement. The thick, comfortable cushions invite relaxation and reflect the focus on comfort in the design of that period.
The furniture is in good vintage condition, with the fabric having developed a light patina consistent with age and use. The construction is sturdy and the cushions have retained their shape well, attesting to the quality of the original production.
There is one small hole in the fabric under a seat cushion, so this is not visible.
