Work size: 36x39 cm.
Jan Arons (1936) attended the academy in Den Bosch. In 1956 he left for France and the influences he underwent from the modern French masters were decisive here. After a 5-year stay in France, he returned to Amsterdam. His work has a very personal signature. It shows affinity with the work of Jaap Wagemaker and, in the distance, with Bram Bogart. His work is represented in the collections of the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam and Stedelijk Museum Schiedam, among others.
