Product description
This painting exudes a raw, timeless energy. The shapes are minimalist to powerful geometric planes and outlined with bold, black outlines that give a sense of determination and structure. Jaklien Moerman (name variant: Jacqueline Moerman) (1931- 2011).
Jaklien was a painter as well as a draughtswoman and graphic artist. Starting out as a drawing teacher, in later life she was primarily active as an illustrator and painter, She became best known for her illustrations in the books of children's author Mariëtte Vanhalewijn (Lannoo publishing house).
