vintage jaguar leaper desk chrome sculpture ornament, 1950s
historical automotive icon engineered from inception as a modernist desk sculpture. this heavy chrome-plated solid metal ornament features the definitive "leaper" silhouette originally conceived by sculptor frederick gordon crosby.
expertly cast without industrial vehicle part markings, confirming its authentic origin as a dedicated luxury desk accessory rather than a repurposed automotive component. finished with a flawless, high-mirror chrome plating that captures clean geometric light, the sculpture is structurally integrated into a sleek, solid rectangular base acting as a weighted paperweight.
an uncompromising mechanical silhouette embodying the raw physical dynamism, muscular speed, and aerodynamic purity of mid-century industrial art. zero plastic, pure structural mass.
provenance: private collection, italy.
