Jacques Maes ( ) was a Belgian painter, graphic artist, and engraver known for his portraits, landscapes, still lifes, and frescoes. He was one of the founders of animism and taught at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels. His numerous awards included the Grand Prix Triennal de Peintre (1924) and the Second Prix de Rome (1930).
