This Ivora Gouda 'Princess' Ear Vase is a characteristic example of Dutch Art Deco ceramics from circa 1925. The design combines a classic amphora shape with the expressive, hand-painted decorations that made the Gouda Pottery Industry world-famous. The vase is crafted from ceramic and features a matte glaze, a technique that gained significant popularity during this period. The 'Princess' decoration displays a rich, stylized floral motif in warm shades of orange, green, yellow, and blue, edged with gold-colored accents on a deep black background. With a height of 30 centimeters, the object has a substantial presence. The underside is fully marked with the factory name, the decoration, and the model number.
