When lit from the inside, they give a beautiful translucent effect, making it look like the ice really melts. Frozen look on the inside and a smooth, shiny look on the outside. The base is made of white plastic. The lamp is made of glass, making it transparent. With a candle bulb, the lamp gives off soft light, making it particularly suitable as a nightlight or mood light. With a brighter bulb inside, the Iviken can also be used as a desk lamp.
