Product description

This Italian mid-century modern desk and chair set from the 1960s exemplifies the functional elegance of the era. The design features a striking contrast between the warm wood-effect surfaces and the structural black metal framework, characteristic of Italian modernist production. The desk is constructed with a laminate top and matching drawer unit, supported by an angular black metal frame with adjustable feet. It includes a suspended two-drawer pedestal with black fronts and brass handles, alongside a distinctive black gallon button-tufted modesty panel. The accompanying chair features a black upholstered seat and backrest on a slender metal frame with brass-capped feet. The set remains in good vintage condition, retaining its original character and structural integrity. The materials display a natural patina consistent with age and use, reflecting its history as a functional workspace piece. This desk set is well-suited for a home office or study, bringing authentic mid-century Italian character to contemporary or vintage-inspired interiors. Its compact footprint and finished back allow it to be positioned freely within a room.
